German Week – Day 6 – Time so say goodbye

Today, we all met at the airport again, this time to say “See you soon” to our guests from Norway, Finland and England. At 9.00 and 10.00 in the morning the groups met for the last time with their host families and students and everyone was waving goodbye! Have a safe trip back home, guys and thanks for being our guests in Hannover, Germany 🙂 SEE YOU VERY SOON!

German Week – Day 5

Today we have a long day at school. We started with a MOT Lesson (MOT means “courage” in Norwegian). Our Norwegian teacher Charles Stuart gave us an insight what MOT is all about: we played small games and learned a lot about the courage to care, the courage to say no and the courage to live. German Week – Day 4

Today we met early for a trip to Hamburg. At 7.30 in the morning, we all got together in front of the main train station in Hannover and took the train to Hamburg! We got on a Doppeldecker bus and went around the main sights of Hamburg, including the Elbphilharmonie, the Landungsbrücken and the Hamburger Michel. German Week – Day 3

Today has been a productive day at school again. First, all host students joined the German students for two lessons together in their regular classes. Then all German students prepared their Maschsee Rallye for the 3 teams from England, Norway and Finland. Everyone had a lot of fun playing the challenging little (sporty) games half around the Maschsee. German Week – Day 2

We have not been to school today at all, but still learned a lot 🙂 We started at the Hannover main train station and went to Wolfsburg by train! Of course, we visited the „Designer Outlets Wolfsburg“ for a few minutes before walking to the Autostadt for a „Werktour“, a guided trip by boat and bus throughout the factory with rare views of robotic car manufacturing… we had the chance to talk to some mechanics and engineers and ask questions about what it is like working for the biggest car factory in the world. German Week – Day 1

After arriving yesterday at the Hannover Airport and the first evening together with the host families, we startet early today. We met at the Ludwig-Windthorst-Schule in the main entrance hall and got a warm welcome by the principle Heike Braun. After getting to know each other with little games, we had some presentations in the school´s computer room. We learned a lot about Hannover, Hamburg and Soccer / Handball in Germany.
