Read moreOn Tuesday 12 December, the UK team met to celebrate Christmas together. The Christmas tree is up and the Christmas crib nativity scene is in place. Christmas cards were given and Christmas crackers pulled in the true festive spirit of the season. The schools caterers Sodexo prepared a healthy traditional Christmas dinner, with roast turkey, sausage, stuffing, potatoes and vegetables, which was enjoyed at lunchtime by both students and staff. The UK team wish all of our friends in Finland, Norway and Germany a very Happy Christmas and an active and healthy New Year 2018.

We had a lot of classworks within the last days, so we decided to be active and sporty in the last week. Read moreAfter arriving back in Germany, our Erasmus+ team went back to business.. but moreover, we found some time to play St. Greg´s ball for ourselves. Our 6 “english students” were explaining and building teams and only minutes after starting the game, everyone was having fun 🙂
Read moreToday is our last day.. after arriving at school, we had our tournament of the sports St. Gregory´s has invented in advance. We have already played and trained it on Monday, so everyone knew how to play it. We had a tournament with the sports teacher from St. Gregory´s as a referee and UK was the winner in the end. We had a lot of fun playing this new kind of sports, which consists of a mixture between basketball and netball. Finland was singing the hymn in advance and Germany was cheerleading and screaming to cheer on the other teams.[…]

Read more“Today will be another fun day” That is what Miss Medcroft said this morning, and she was absolutely right! We took the coach for a 20 minute ride to Bristol for a visit of the FLIP OUT trampoline park. After the safety briefing, everyone could try out the trampolines and check how it feels like to do an hour of jumping and what effect it has on the body. Read more… and a lot more happened today! After meeting again in the Bond Pavilion at St. Gregory’s, we all went on a coach to travel to the centre of Bath, where the Mayor was waiting for us. Mr. Ian Gilchrist had prepared a friendly welcome for all of us and was willing to answer every questions of our students. Read moreAfter the daily meeting at the Bond Pavillion at St. Gregory‘s we drove to the Sports University of Bath, where our students were separated into three groups rotating through different workshops: trampoline jumping, hand eye skill improvement and Badminton. All of our students and teachers were amazed by the facilities and the professional equipment the staff had to offer for our Erasmus+ team. All together registered in the morning at Saint Gregory’s School in Bath. After a warm welcome from the administration and Head of School the teams practised England´s newly devised sports game. 4 new mixed teams, new rules and most important for all of them: fair play and passing the basketball as often as they can.
